The Junior Optimist International (JOI) Michigan District is thrilled to announce our upcoming Zoom Gathering! We invite all Junior Optimist Clubs across Michigan to join us. This event will allow optimists to connect with other members, share ideas, and find inspiration for their next service project!
What to Expect:
- Introductions & Icebreaker Breakout rooms: We’ll start with a warm welcome and introduce each other. Then, we’ll kick things off with some fun icebreaker activities to give everyone a chance to get to know each other and form connections to help set the tone for a productive session.
- Community Service Projects: Board members will highlight recent District service projects and future plans, inviting clubs to share their own accomplishments and impactful work within their communities. This is a great chance to find inspiration, learn from others, and spark ideas for potential projects.
- Fun with Kahoot: Enjoy a lively Kahoot game filled with fun questions and friendly competition—an energizing way to keep things interactive and engaging.
- National JOI Summit: Learn more about the upcoming National JOI Summit in St. Louis, Missouri (July 17–20). The session will include video interviews and highlights to give members a preview of what to expect and the reasons to partake in the opportunity.
PGI Presentation (Personal Growth and Involvement) w/ Guest Speaker:
The gathering will conclude with a presentation on the Personal Growth & Involvement (PGI) program by Cherryl Thames, offering insights into how members can grow their skills, track their involvement, and make the most of their JOI experience.
