Make A Real Change In a Child’s Life
The Childhood Health & Wellness Program is an initiative sponsored and supported by Optimist International and the thousands of member clubs across the United States and internationally. Childhood Health & Wellness is a program that sprang from the very successful Childhood Cancer Campaign and as needs nationally and internationally changed, the focus of how we as Optimists were needed to support children facing health issues also changed. In an effort to enable children to live healthier longer, the program was expanded to include other diseases such as; Diabetes, mental health challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorders, heart disease, blindness, dental disease and more. Our goal is to provide children and their families with education, support and funding to live long and healthy lives.
The Michigan District is the largest district in Optimist International. The statistics below cannot convey the depth and breadth of how Optimists impacted the lives of children, their families and their communities in Michigan in 2019.

Volunteer and Participate
Find an Optimist Club near you and get involved. There are numerous and diverse projects that you are inviteded to participate in.
Donate
Donate to provide local scholarships, health education, Camps, Bravery Beads for young cancer patients, respite services for families. Help fund programs in your local schools and community.
Advocate
As a business you can provide funding, encourage your employees to volunteer for a program or activity or help to raise awareness by advertising the programs that Optimist clubs in your area offer.
