Icebreaker Activities
- Ball Toss Icebreaker
- Description: Participants will be divided into smaller groups. In each group, a ball will be tossed around randomly. When a person catches the ball, they will say their name, school, and a hobby. This activity is designed to build comfort and encourage new friendships.
- Community Poster Challenge Icebreaker
- Description: Attendees will be randomly grouped and given a local community issue (such as food insecurity, youth mental health, environmental concerns, etc.). Each group will brainstorm and design a poster with their proposed solutions.
Guest Speaker Presentation – Speaker: Sri Balaji, JOI International Board Member
- Topic: Overview of the Optimist International Summit, its goals, benefits of participation, and how it empowers youth leaders.
Lunch Break
Cereal Box Domino Challenge
- Description: Participants will bring cereal boxes to set up an exciting domino chain reaction, which will be filmed as a group activity.
- Community Service Element: After the challenge, all cereal boxes will be donated to CARES, contributing to local hunger relief efforts.
Officer Elections
- Candidates who signed up will each deliver a one-minute speech.
- If multiple people are running for the same position, we will conduct ballot elections.
