The 2024-2025 District Oratorical Contest is a fantastic opportunity for young people to share their voices, inspire others, and earn support for their educational journeys. If your club plans to participate, be sure to contact Trinilda (Tina) Johnson, District Oratorical Chair, no later than February 15, 2025, to confirm your club’s involvement in the contest.
This year’s oratorical topic is incredibly timely and inspiring: “How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times.” With this experiential theme, participants will have the chance to reflect on their personal experiences with optimism and how it has helped them navigate challenges. It’s a perfect opportunity to spotlight the strength and resilience of young optimists.

- District Contest (Spring Gathering): Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Saginaw Valley State University
As part of our mission to “Bring Out the Best in Youth,” the Oratorical Contest empowers young voices and provides financial rewards to help with educational expenses. It’s a great way to support our youth and invest in their futures.
