The Mt Pleasant Optimist Club held is 16th Annual Dinner Raffle on February 3rd. The Annual Dinner Raffle is the largest fundraiser for this club. The Dinner Raffle tickets are sold for $200 each for two people to attend, and a total of 200 tickets are sold. The ticket price includes: Dinner for two, 4 drink tickets, entry into the cash raffle where $9,000 is given away, late night snacks and live entertainment by Jedi Mind Trip.
During the evening other raffles take place where attendees can pay to participate. Some of this year’s raffle prizes included: a diamond ring, concert package, wine tour & dinner package, big screen tv/Tiger tickets package and a rifle.
There is also a 50/50 drawing that produces large winnings for the lucky person! Best of all, it is a football themed party and the dress code is casual. People love to dress in their favorite team’s attire and party for a good cause.
Local businesses sponsor this event and donate the generous prizes to our club. We would not be able to do this event without the support from our local businesses.
