The Brighton Optimist Club continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting local charities and enhancing the quality of life in our community. With a dedicated website at BrightonOptimist.org, a vibrant Facebook presence at Brighton Optimist Club Facebook Page, and a Twitter handle of @BrightonOptimi1, the club’s activities are easily accessible to all.
One of the standout initiatives of the Brighton Optimist Club is their monthly Euchre Tournaments, held in collaboration with Eternity Brewing Company. These tournaments are more than just a fun night out; they are a powerful fundraising tool that has had a significant impact on local children’s charities.
On the second Tuesday of each month, Euchre enthusiasts gather at Eternity Brewing Company for a night of friendly competition and community spirit. One hundred percent of the funds raised from these euchre nights are split between a designated local charity and the player prize pool. This ensures that every game played contributes directly to the well-being of children and families in our area.
The success of these events is evident in the impressive amount of money raised. Since December 2021, the Brighton Optimist Club’s Euchre nights have generated over $23,697 in donations. These funds have been distributed to various local charities, making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
In June 2024, the club, along with Eternity Brewing Company, presented a check totaling $712 to the Whitmore Lake Fireworks Committee. This donation was the result of the June 11th Euchre night and a special beer promotion at Eternity Brewing. The funds will support the annual Whitmore Lake Fireworks display, a cherished community event scheduled for July 3rd.
The Brighton Optimist Club’s commitment to charitable giving doesn’t stop with just one monthly event. They have also initiated a third Tuesday Euchre night, further expanding their fundraising efforts and community involvement.
The impact of the Brighton Optimist Club extends beyond financial contributions. Their work fosters a sense of community and optimism, encouraging residents to come together for a common cause. By participating in these Euchre tournaments, community members not only enjoy a night of entertainment but also become part of a larger movement aimed at supporting youth and community initiatives.
