📋 District Policy Changes: Your Voice Matters
During our recent Spring District Gathering, the Governance Sub-Committee introduced proposed updates to our District Policies. These important changes are now available for all members to review on the Michigan District website.
To ensure transparency and member input, we’re hosting a District Policy Discussion on Tuesday, July 23 at 7:00 PM via Zoom. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, offer feedback, and gain clarity before the vote at the Summer Summit.
🗳️ Club delegates will vote on these updates at the Summit in August—so now is the time to get involved and stay informed.

🕊️ In Loving Memory: Margaret “Maggie” Rollinger
It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the passing of our beloved fellow Optimist, Margaret “Maggie” Rollinger, who passed away on July 5 while on vacation.
Maggie was currently serving as Lt. Governor of Zone 15, and her impact on the Optimist movement stretches back over three decades. A proud member of the Roseville Optimist Club since 1992, she served more than 25 years as Club Treasurer, was Club President in 2012, and held key leadership roles at the District level—including District Secretary/Treasurer in 2015–2016.
Her dedication was felt far and wide, from her involvement in the Optimist International Foundation and the Women’s Philanthropy Council to her tireless support of the Junior Golf Program. To many of us, Maggie was a guide, a supporter, and a dear friend.
Her legacy of optimism, compassion, and service will continue to inspire us all.
💐 Our deepest condolences go out to her family, the Roseville Club, and all who were touched by her kindness. Memorial details will be shared as soon as they are available.
