The Michigan District Optimists are proud to congratulate Noah Prince, our District Oratorical Contest Champion, on placing 1st in the Region 1: Northeast & Great Lakes competition at the Regional and World Oratorical Contests held in St. Louis this past weekend.
Noah represented the Michigan District on the regional and international stage after earning the opportunity through his success in the Michigan District Oratorical Contest.
Sponsored by the Farmington Hills Breakfast Optimist Club, Noah delivered an outstanding performance and earned the top honor in a region that brought together talented young speakers from across the Northeast and Great Lakes area.
Encouraging Young Voices and Future Leaders
The Optimist International Oratorical Contest is about much more than public speaking. It gives young people an opportunity to build confidence, organize and express their ideas, and develop communication skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
Programs like the Oratorical Contest are an important part of the Optimist mission to bring out the best in youth. By encouraging young people to find their voice, challenge themselves, and share their perspectives, Optimist Clubs help develop the confident and capable leaders our communities will rely on in the future.
