Optimist International Bylaws & Resolutions Process
Your voice plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Optimist International! Now is the time to review the Bylaws and submit proposed amendments to ensure they continue serving our mission.
📌 How to Submit a Bylaws Amendment:
- Provide a written proposal citing the exact article and section to be changed.
- Include a rationale (200 words or fewer).
- Submit the proposal on official Club letterhead, signed by the Club President.
- Send it to executiveoffice@optimist.org. The original letter must be received at the International Office.
- Deadline: April 2, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. CT – No exceptions!
📌 Convention Resolutions Process:
If your club wants to address an issue not covered in the Bylaws, submit a resolution for discussion at the International Convention.
- Format: “Whereas… Be it resolved that…”
- Must be submitted on Club stationery with the Club President’s signature.
- Deadline: May 2, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. CT.
