We are not yet destined to meet in person, as the Michigan District Optimists. Many thanks to all of you who took a few moments last week to respond to The Survey. While we are all looking forward to the fellowship, the fun, the Breakouts, the Updates and the Encouragement we all need, we will have to wait a bit longer for the safety of all, when we gather.

So…what next, you say! We have set two dates for your 1st Quarter calendar. The Michigan District Optimist Executive Meeting will take place on Thursday, November 5th at 7 PM and the 1st Quarter Conference will be on Saturday, November 7th starting at 8:AM with virtual coffee! Both meetings will be live in a Zoom Call, please see information below and be sure to register. All registrants will receive the agenda and related documents.

Let’s be patient with these days, with each other and strive to Choose Optimism in our thoughts and in new ways. It will be interesting to learn how our Optimist Clubs are stretching their ‘action plan’ – reimagining how they can continue to serve the children and their community. Consider the benefits of revisiting the “Why” we do what we do as Optimists and purpose to re-energize our mission. It’s what we can do while we wait for brighter days!
